In 2013, Vedder launched its first West Coast Office in San Francisco, located in the heart of the Financial District.
Our San Francisco office hosts a rotating art display of local artists through a resident gallery. Our lawyers provide pro bono support for Raphael House, which helps low-income and homeless families, among other organizations.
In addition to the pro bono support, the San Francisco office supports “Family Literacy Day at the Park” sponsored by the YMCA. This event encourages reading to build knowledge and engagement among kids in the urban community. In addition to the time volunteered, Vedder has donated $1000 to the Y for use in youth initiatives aimed at literacy efforts and other programs. We also proudly participate in and host events via our firm-wide women’s initiative, Women at Vedder Empowering Success (WAVES).
Vedder teamed up with Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) for our first Community Service Day. Rise Against Hunger is a not-for-profit organization focused on ending hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable. Each U.S. office hosted an on-site meal packaging event where we packed, boxed, and loaded trucks for a total of 46,076 meals!
